Wireless CarPlay on the 2016–2022 Tacoma
Which upgrade you need depends on the year. 2016–2019 Tacomas don't have CarPlay from the factory, so a head-unit swap like the units listed above is the route. 2020–2022 trucks with factory wired CarPlay can usually go wireless with a plug-in adapter instead of replacing the radio. Confirm your radio / Entune generation before buying.
Tacoma head unit fitment checklist
Note whether your truck has the JBL premium audio system, a factory backup camera and steering-wheel controls, and confirm the listing's harness supports them. These are catalog listings, not filmed installs; my closest filmed Toyota work is the Corolla and Camry, which use similar trim-removal steps.
