Dasaita Max6 PX6 CarPlay Stereo: Honda Civic 2006–2011 Full Install (Base Model)

An older, full-length Dasaita Max6 (PX6) install in John's cousin's 2010 Civic. The car goes in gear for clearance, two 8mm bolts come out, the hazard and HVAC modules transfer over, and the plug-and-play harness goes in. Then Bluetooth (PIN 0000), GPS, Wi-Fi, three USBs and a mic.

This 33 min guide covers the Honda Civic 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009.

Overview

John installs a Dasaita Max6 in his cousin's 2010 Civic base model to bring it up to 2019 standards, with wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, more USB ports, GPS and Wi-Fi. The unit is a full integrated dash piece. It has its own hazard, AC and volume controls, a color that matches the Civic interior closely, and a screen angled toward the driver. To get it out, put the car in first gear with the e-brake on for shifter clearance. Pop the small panel to reach two 8mm bolts, then pull the assembly. Photograph and unplug the HVAC and hazard plugs, then move the hazard (two screws), the airbag light (two), the vents (three) and the HVAC controls onto the new unit. The plug-and-play harness needs no splicing: main plug, rear speakers and steering controls, plus the radio antenna adapter. Bench-test before reassembly. The boot logo is customizable, and the Bluetooth PIN is 0000. John routes the GPS antenna on the dash, runs the USBs into the glove box, keeps the aux working through the RCA inputs, and mounts the external mic near the steering wheel. The passenger-airbag light no longer fits, so it stays plugged in behind the dash. Fit is about 90% versus the OEM's 98%. For around $400–500 with CarPlay and Android Auto, John recommends it over a small, low-res Pioneer that still needs a dash kit.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Unbox and compare▶ 0:30

This integrated unit replaces the whole center stack. It has its own hazard button, AC knob and volume knob, and the climate sensor is on the back. The color matches the Civic interior closely, and the screen tilts toward the driver.

  2. 2

Shift into gear for clearance▶ 4:50

With the key on but the engine off, set the e-brake, press the brake and shift into first. That moves the shifter out of the way. Then turn the car off.

Warning: Keep the e-brake on while the car is out of Park/Neutral.

  3. 3

    Reveal the two 8mm bolts▶ 5:25

Pop the small panel at its two notches with a plastic tool, twisting your wrist rather than prying hard. Behind it are two 8mm bolts (with washers) holding the trim. Remove them.

  4. 4

    Pull the center stack▶ 6:19

Check that no coins are in the cubby, then pull the assembly out by hand.

  5. 5

    Unplug and photograph▶ 7:15

Unplug the HVAC, hazard and other plugs. Take a photo first so you know where each one goes.

Tip: Avoid metal tools against the plastic. Metal on plastic will scar it.

  6. 6

    Transfer the modules▶ 8:38

Unscrew the HVAC controls (four screws), the hazard switch (two), the passenger-airbag light (two) and the vents (three). Don't strip the small screws.

  7. 7

    Plug in the harness▶ 9:56

The plug-and-play harness needs no splicing. Connect the main plug, the second plug (rear speakers and controls) and the radio antenna adapter, then plug the black lead into the head unit.

  8. 8

    Bench-test first▶ 11:29

Power it up before transferring everything. The Honda boot logo can be changed. Check audio, then pair Bluetooth. The factory PIN is 0000.

  9. 9

    GPS and Wi-Fi▶ 13:38

Route the GPS antenna up on top of the dash with its adhesive. It picks up a signal through the plastic. Connect the Wi-Fi antenna and radio.

  10. 10

USBs into the glove box▶ 15:12

Snake the three USB cables into the glove box for a clean install. They charge faster than the cigarette-lighter adapter.

  11. 11

Aux, RCA and camera input▶ 16:25

There's no backup camera on this car, but the composite (yellow RCA) camera input works with any RCA camera. Plug in the labeled aux lead so the aux jack still works. There are also sub, rear and front RCA line outs.

  12. 12

    External mic▶ 17:49

The unit has a front mic, but the external mic sounds crisper. Fish it through gaps in the dash and stick it near the steering wheel on a dust-free spot.

  13. 13

    Airbag indicator▶ 21:15

The big screen covers the passenger-airbag light's spot. Keep it plugged in behind the dash so the car still sees it.

  14. 14

Move the clips and brackets▶ 24:25

Transfer the plastic clips and the OEM metal brackets. Bend the metal tab to slide each bracket out, bend it back, and fit it with the flat side facing out.

  15. 15

Test again, then close up▶ 26:24

Before final assembly, check the turn signals, hazards, AC and audio. Then push the wires back and seat the unit. Fit is about 90%, versus 98% for the OEM unit.

  16. 16

    Wireless CarPlay handshake▶ 31:02

Wireless CarPlay connects over Bluetooth and then Wi-Fi from the phone, so give it a minute to hand off.

0:00What do you think of the packaging?

0:02It looks pretty clean.

0:04The girls with the nails done

0:30Alright, so we have the side of head unit for the 8th generation Civics

0:37This also works for the Acura and stuff like that

0:41The Honda CX

0:42So why don't you go open it and tell me how you feel

0:45What do you think of the packaging?

0:47It looks pretty clean

0:50Not too hard to open

0:53Everything seems to be out of the night

0:58Look at all the foam. They give you a lot of foam.

1:13Oh, you can just put everything just upside down.

1:20Oh, take it out of the bag. You won't see it.

1:28so they have a little screen protector on it so like what are these buttons AC and

1:32yeah AC and the volume okay so that's cool what this is volume right here I

1:39think this is the power oh no no the emergency light oh oh the the hazard button yeah

1:44and then this is the volume and this is the AC oh I want to see how that works

1:51Okay, so.

1:52Okay.

1:53the back of the unit.

1:57Okay, so yeah, you have all the vents and stuff.

2:01This head unit's a little bit more integrated.

2:04It's going to be really lined up. Looks like,

2:07like these.

2:16this is for the climate control to like a sensor for to see how much if your

2:22car is cold or not and that's where your auto temperatures but yeah that's kind of

2:26let's go let's walk into your car and compare how it looks like walking in

2:30this is what we're going to replace this is in control speed and then you got

2:35that your temperature so interesting how it looks the colors

2:41actually very close it looks like it will match the interior it's a good thing

2:47they picked this color I know I've seen some colors are silver and stuff but

2:50this color it looks like it matches really well with interior the rest of your

2:54car so it'd be well integrated as far as trying to see it so it kind of points to

2:58you because the screen is kind of like morphs so it points to the driver so

3:03kind of like this yeah well it's a big difference this screen the way it

3:11it extrudes out it's pretty massive wow it's gonna be a big

3:16difference what do you think I think I already like the way it looks

3:22on my like on even though like we haven't like yeah I'm really

3:29surprise with the color that's that's important because when you buy after

3:33market head units it's not gonna have this it's gonna look like just a

3:37rectangle yeah but we're now you're, gonna have Android Auto you're gonna have

3:40wireless Apple CarPlay wired Apple CarPlay for your iPhone because I know

3:44you're an iPhone users you're gonna have more USBs so if you want to charge

3:47your phone or whatever you have three instead of this one doesn't I don't

3:52think even has it then you get with GPS Wi-Fi and stuff like that so

3:56You're you're gonna definitely be able to make this what year is this car 2008 2010 2010 yeah, so 2010 and we're bringing it to 2019 standard

4:05So that's gonna be great. Even the new 2019 Civic doesn't have to have

4:09Like Apple car Android Auto or even I'm not sure if they have wireless Apple Carplay

4:13So it's cars gonna be even newer than the newer Civics. Yeah, and you know not only the color but you know

4:19I feel like the

4:21The material it feels pretty solid. I mean, I don't know much about like

4:26Yeah, but even if you feel like it's it's not like a flimsy plastic

4:30It's like it is plastic, but it's not like a cheap plastic where it might like so sometimes you feel like this and you're like

4:36Okay, that might break you know stuff like this and like kind of like this. It's it's more like

4:41Premium so that do that. It's definitely gonna be interesting

4:45So let's take it apart and move on from there. Okay

4:50Don't turn the car on but have it on position and then move this to

4:55We're gonna have to move all this out. So let's put this into first gear make sure it's on the the e-brake

5:00No have it, have it on the e-brake and just shift it into gear

5:04One to one, so one then you can turn it off make sure make sure yet. We're good

5:09So this will go as clearance when we're removing it. You can turn off your car now

5:13You take it out

5:17Wait what happened? Oh, you can't take it out press the brakes. It might not make it

5:21It might not let you take it out. Okay. Just like that

5:25All right, so there's a little panel right here.

5:28I don't you guys can see that.

5:29There's a little two notches you can pick out right here.

5:32We're gonna use this plastic tool

5:33so it'll prevent damaging the thing itself.

5:37When you open like this, it just pops right out.

5:40I like using a little,

5:41I just like using my wrist to twist of twist.

5:43That way I'm not damaging anything.

5:45And this is gonna reveal two, eight millimeter bolts.

5:49The bolts are faced this way

5:54and that's what holds this plastic trim in.

5:55So, here's a little bolt right here.

5:57You can see there's a little washer and an eight.

6:00The only thing is it's really in awkward position

6:04So I use this little tool

6:06So you don't need this tool

6:08This tool to basically grab onto the spot right here

6:11Beep but um

6:13We

6:58So we have that out try to try to get the angle here so we're gonna pretty much

7:15much remove all these plugs for the HVAC system hazard buttons if you aren't

7:26I'm not sure where it goes. I highly recommend taking a picture of it.

7:38So that's going to do a little bit more clearance.

7:44Be very careful, especially if you're going with this part.

7:46So plastic on plastic, it does wear a little bit, but metal on plastic.

7:51That's going to do some damage.

7:53be careful with the

8:04You can use it to prevent it from scratching too

8:11Yeah just place it um

8:13Like right here.

8:16So there you go we have the head unit out

8:34So there you go. We have the head unit out. It's pretty heavy

8:38But we still need to transfer the HVAC systems. So we're gonna get we're gonna unscrew these four bolts

8:45The hazarde has two bolts

8:47The passenger airbag light is another two bolts and then the fans are actually another three bolts

8:53So we're going to unscrew that and yeah, we'll do that right now

8:58That's pretty self-explanatory, so I'm not going to show that off

9:01Exclus.

9:03You see this

9:04Let's make sure we have the

9:10Dinner one

9:12Do not strip these bolts

9:17These little screws

9:19And just slightly

9:21My tool is slightly broken though so

9:27So we're gonna screw all the things that are holding the buttons in

9:30So today we're gonna be looking

9:33More into the wiring

9:36We just removed the OEM head unit

9:38So you have HVAC seat belt light

9:41Hazard button

9:43But you know the radio only deals with these 3 wires

9:46This is the base model Civic

9:48This is not an EX Touring or whatever

9:50So this is gonna handle, most of the work

9:54Now the side of comes with a plug and play harness

9:59For your Honda Civic CR-V

10:03CX and stuff like that gonna be a little this little this little bad boy

10:07And what's nice is you don't have to splice anything you just plug it in

10:10So let's see we plug in this with this hopefully and it should fit

10:14it fits yes the next off is this little bad boy and these usually you know

10:24external controls or I powers the rear speakers and so forth so we that

10:33plugged in and then lastly this is the radio antenna so those are the three

10:38things that were coming out the OEM head unit and now we got it it's there

10:43it works it's great. From here all you have to do is plug in this black wire

10:49into this unit right here and you are pretty much set as well as finishing off

10:55the adapter for the radio and boom we are done here like this is like working

11:02this is gonna be able to work. So we're gonna have it kind of fit here

11:10nicely. Now the fitment, I'm just hoping it doesn't require cutting or shaving

11:18but as it sits like right here, it's pretty impressive. Now we're still

11:25removing the HVACs and we're gonna transfer it over but before we do all

11:29of that, we are gonna test the car. Alright so this is the first boot up

11:37I'm hoping it works

11:40We're gonna keep the screen protector on there

11:42Oh, so that's a good sign that means the power is getting to the head unit

11:47Honda logo you can change this logo too

11:50So if you're looking to change it to Acura or Lamborghini,, you can do the Lamborghini Civic

11:57But so our first initial boot up we should see if the sound works the Bluetooth and stuff like that

12:04So here's the head the head unit now. This is the decided max 6

12:08So this is the top spec Android head units, not all the Android head units are made equally

12:13So this one has the better DSs this one has the better audio processor 64 gigs of RAM of

12:18of internal storage and like 486 gigs of RAM or something like that so this is

12:22more of the top of the line stuff and looks like it's working and audio is

12:28working so I'm gonna try Bluetooth right now and then we're gonna try like

12:31Apple CarPlay and so forth okay so to hook up Bluetooth real quick we go to

12:40Bluetooth, and I have my phone right here. Go to your Bluetooth settings, what's

12:53the pin code? The pin code from the factory is zero zero zero zero, very

12:58easy. So now it's plugged in so we can import our contact list and so forth to

13:05spew to go to Bluetooth audio as a source as a source. You

13:08click on a2dp and I have how to do a civic install it because I was watching

13:14that earlier and then we can play also play music so yeah it's it's working and

13:21it actually sounds really crispy so that's a start now we can what we can do here is

13:27we can install the usb's the GPS the Wi-Fi we know the Bluetooth works let's

13:32make sure the radio works and stuff for like that so we're gonna plug in the

13:35All the rest of the cables and make sure that works from here

13:38So we're just gonna install the Wi-Fi antenna because this is theo, ando, and we just gotta get every nook and cranny

13:43We have the GPS the the microphone stuff like that, so we're gonna

13:48Install the GPS remember you can route this GPS on top of your dash

13:52It might installs especially because it's quick and easy to remove after I just put it right right here

13:58So that's where I'm gonna put put it. I'm just gonna put it around top

14:00I'm just gonna put it around on top

14:02There is a little adhesive tape

14:04So we're gonna do that in a bit

14:06But install that

14:11This thing alone can penetrate through this plastic

14:13That's the only thing that's against

14:15Like you don't really need a sight

14:17And

14:19Most people too

14:21This is like for emergencies

14:23Generally people just use the Apple CarPlay maps

14:25And stuff like that anyways

14:27But

14:29They really you have no issues with it

14:30installed right here.

14:34So I'm just gonna install it.

14:35I don't really wanna block too much of the words,

14:38deep enough where the wires are, are still kind of tight.

14:44So we have GPS, wifi, we have the radio plugged in.

14:49Now, the more, the most important thing with this car

14:51is the, my cousin right there, he loves his iPhone

14:57and he likes Apple CarPlay.

14:59So that's one of the main attractions.

15:00So we're gonna hook him up with some USBs.

15:03This also has wireless Apple CarPlay.

15:05So he doesn't need to, but let's say

15:07if he was charging his car or something like that.

15:09So this is gonna give him some power.

15:12And what I like to do, personally,

15:14is

15:15I like to snake this over into the glove box.

15:18That way you get that nice clean, install, you know,

15:20you a nice nice and clean, all the wires hidden.

15:23So,

15:28so we're gonna see, it's a little,

15:39So I got one USB in

15:43And then two

15:45That way no one sees this

15:47But if he needs a charge

15:49He has two USBs

15:51Right then and there

15:53But you also get an extra USB too

15:55This one's called the Cable B line

15:57We're gonna also put that in

15:59So now he's gonna have a total of three USBs

16:04faster charging than his AC cigarette lighter, he has right here, so he has

16:10cigarette lighter, so we can control, you can measure amps with certain apps too.

16:17Bam, three USBs. To finish it off, we have some audio line in and out, aux and

16:25camera vent, now this camera, this car itself does not there's not have a backup

16:29camera but you you could put a backup camera onto this so the the only thing

16:34that is a camera is it's just uses the Seattle composite cable so any kind of

16:39camera that uses composite cable like a rca jack yellow composite

16:44it will it would work and we could do that but for this install it is kind of

16:50timely you would have to wire basically a wire from here and you

16:55we rotted all the way to the back of the car

16:58and putting a camera.

16:59Now I've done that for the Scion TC,

17:01so if you guys were looking to see how to wire it,

17:05you can do that, but in this case,

17:08we're not gonna do that in here.

17:10So we're gonna plug in the brown wire.

17:12There's actually labels that show you which to which.

17:15We're doing this because I want him to retain

17:17at least the aux cable.

17:20So I'm just gonna plug that in.

17:22So you know how there's two there's a RCA so if he was trying to use ox for some reason

17:28He can actually just go to the video input and then listen to the left and right channels of the ox

17:31The left and right channels of the aux

17:33So that's good

17:35And for people

17:37There's RC Jacks for subwoofer

17:39So here's a little detail

17:41There's the mid RCA sub

17:43We have rear

17:45Basically it's a line out

17:47Yeah it's a line out

17:49So we're almost done with everything

17:53There's only one thing we have to do left

17:55And that's gonna be the

17:57The microphone

17:59Now this head unit does have a microphone

18:03can just use this but if you were to try to get that extra extra microphone

18:08crispiness for it you can sell one of these bad boys and your microphones and

18:15sound a little bit more crispy so we're gonna do that too in this case and we're

18:21gonna have it just kind of wired through this skeleton shell if I can is

18:29even clear so you just have to find little like spaces little creaks and

18:35cracks and fish it through and there's a little plug right here like a

18:42Headphone jack and you plug it into here the 3.5

18:47Now whether we're whether the owner wants so make sure you I usually put this on the steering wheel

18:54It's kind of discreet that way, but make sure it's not dusty because that's gonna make it so it doesn't stick I

19:03Usually have it something like this

19:05Let's fish the wires up a little bit more.

19:10I usually have it like this.

19:14But I don't know that's a little too intrusive for him, so we can also wire it to the side

19:19too.

19:20We'll get your opinion on that.

19:24Where do you prefer your microphone?

19:27Microphone?

19:28Yeah, for like talking.

19:30Maybe as close to the

19:32Steering wheel as possible

19:34Yeah, that's what we're planning to do

19:36So there's two ways that you can do it

19:39I have the wire kind of state snake mark here

19:42So we can either have it right here

19:44Which is kind of like

19:46You're easy to see

19:47But this will be the clearest

19:48You have the vents and stuff

19:50Uninstalled in the previous one

19:52And look at this

19:53It's gonna be super easy because it's just a bolt

19:55You just screw in those two things

19:57Same with the

19:59AC thing

20:01Or the

20:05Interesting

20:06This airbag

20:10I'm not sure if we it's gonna reuse that

20:11Because it's kind of blocking even now

20:13But then we're gonna use the HVAC and stuff like that

20:15Yeah, it's gonna be

20:17Interesting

20:18A little tricky part right here is the HVAC

20:21After you remove the bigger screws

20:23And even the little small screws right here

20:25What you have to do is

20:27You literally just have to push it really hard

20:29And the

20:33You just, you just have to be

20:35be a little more aggressive.

20:37As you, as I push

20:39this down, it's gonna put weight

20:41and it's equally distribute the

20:43whole thing and they push off. That's probably the safest way to do it and that's what I would

20:49recommend you guys to do. Push it off. So then you can put it back in but we're gonna put these

20:57knobs back in when the car is, well it's gonna be when we put the other head unit in there.

21:03It's recording. Alright so we have everything screwed in here. We have one two three

21:08for the vent, we have one too for the hazard, and then we have the HVAC controls right here

21:14as well.

21:15Now one thing that we don't have is this little puppy right here, it's the passenger airbag

21:21that usually slots in kind of in this general vicinity but the screen's so massive that

21:27it blocks it.

21:28Now, you can still keep this plugged in, it's just telling you that your airbag's

21:38So at least some light comes through here

21:40That is a possibility

21:42But in our case

21:44We're not gonna do anything like that

21:46We're just gonna plug it and just leave it in the back

21:48And forget about it

21:50But yeah, so this is kinda how the head unit looks like

21:53With it in

21:54Oh, we forgot the little caps

21:56So then you get the caps on top of this too

21:58And we're gonna secure it in a bit

22:00But yeah

22:01Look at that

22:02The fitment is insane

22:03Look at that

22:04It's like super precision cut right there

22:07The vents

22:09Super in there

22:11That's really amazing to have a shell like this

22:13And to have a fitment like that

22:15So all is not dandy yet

22:17We have to make sure it fits

22:19But it is looking pretty good right now

22:23Now these things in real quick

22:25Looking beautiful

22:26Now we're gonna plug everything in

22:29Now I already have all the wiring plugged in here

22:32So the rest is almost like Lego pieces

22:35The main power ISO

22:37Goes in here

22:38Followed by the antenna

22:40Notice the clearance issue

22:42So this is where you have to get real tight

22:44We have the

22:46This is gonna handle aux

22:48So I still like giving aux support

22:50The USB

22:51This is one of the single USB

22:53Followed by the dual USBs

22:55That we hooked them up earlier with

22:57And then we have the microphone

23:00get that microphone hooked up and that's it but now you also have to remember

23:08we're gonna have to hook up a few other things like the HVAC controls and stuff

23:16B I'm plugging in the airbag on your feet, so we're going to plug in this right here.

23:32This doesn't really tell you much, it's more like... the safety, so we'll just plug that in,

23:40so it doesn't bother us.

23:41so the car still knows it's plugged in, then gotta get real tight, real tight.

23:50Plug in the AC because it's hot, then you have to get real tight into here. I can't see.

23:58clear the steering wheel for the turn signal stock everything is plugged in here

24:11we're just going to slowly fish things back pushing all the wires out of the

24:18way so a lot of wires because we just basically put a bunch of functionality

24:25into this car all right to remove these clips you just kind of pull it be careful

24:29because they're plastic and you just pop up I'll do next demonstration so you

24:34can't rabbit hook it be slow with it and you pop it out all right so I know there

24:41was one right here so just transfer and the clips over transfer

24:46the clips over. That way it really sticks on. Let me get that good fit. Alright, so on the

24:56OEM unit you have these little metal brackets that we didn't transfer over. So we're going

25:00So a, we the,

25:02Like a good fitment

25:04So on the OEM unit

25:06You have these little metal brackets

25:08That we didn,t transfer over

25:10So we're gonna do that as well

25:12To remove it

25:16I'm gonna see if I can do this with one hand

25:25You just have to bend the

25:27The little metal tab here

25:29You wanna push it back in

25:30want to push it back in.

25:33This spot faces outwards.

25:36And you push back in here.

25:40Boom.

25:49Okay, it looks like everything is in.

25:53It's fitting in right here.

25:54Again, it's fitting in right here.

25:56It was like 80%.

25:58Now it's looking a little bit better.

26:00Not perfect yet, cause we don't have the top one yet,

26:02That's how it sits. It sits really nice right here only if it was able to just stick a little bit more in

26:07I'm hoping when we put the rest in it might fix it a little bit more

26:11But it looks good and the OEM one it didn't look a hundred percent

26:16It looked like 98-99% but this one's looking like a good 90% fitment wise. So let's put in the other pieces and we should be

26:24Good to go. But before that let's test it out make sure it works because I don't want to do that again

26:32Oh, turn signal, turn what, move the turn signal, turn signal. So hazards are working,

26:45earlier AC is working. Yes, very good. Then we have the head unit itself. Let's check

26:57got, some audio make sure it works. I'm not sure it's still hooked to my phone.

27:00I'm not sure

27:01It's still hooked to my phone

27:05So we're just

27:06Clearing it

27:07Making sure things are fitting

27:11It's pretty painty

27:17Yep we're just

27:18I meanaves what do you think

27:19Look at this

27:20Compare this to this

27:21It's

27:22It's actually very close

27:23This one actually looks brand new

27:25But it looks like the paint got faded

27:27It that looks like the paint, got fadedf

27:31This car held up.

27:32I was working on that Camry in

27:34in my last video and the dash, like this piece,

27:38it was, it was, the whole thing was like this.

27:42It was like flaking.

27:43It was very weird.

27:44And this is plastic, right?

27:45I don't understand how this thing was trying to,

27:48like, turn into this.

27:50It was, it was disgusting.

27:52But I think they're just come there.

27:57Yeah, for like, for this head unit to be around $400 to $500,

28:03I definitely would recommend.

28:05For Android Auto and Apple CarPlay alone,

28:08that's like really worth it.

28:10You go to a pioneer route and your screen's like this big

28:13and it's low resolution,

28:15and you still have to buy the kit

28:17because you still have to buy this part for the head unit too.

28:20And it's just like, you're spending a lot of money.

28:27Took off was this thing so going back you could actually wire some USB's right here too little

28:32Going back

28:34You could actually wire some USB's

28:38Right here too

28:39Because there's a little hole

28:41Could be kind of nice

28:43There you go

28:44And we're done here

28:46So let's um

28:47Let's start the car again

28:51Let's close the door

28:52We're actually starting the car

28:53Make sure it works

28:54So you

29:08So usually you'll see this when your car has been. Been off for a long time and let's let's remove this thing.

29:21That sounds like sass, so we have his phone hooked up in everything, um yeah, things are looking good.

29:51We finished the install,

30:03it's looking great.

30:04Remember, we can change this interface, make it look a little bit different too depending

30:06on what his minister, Adam's personal taste is.

30:12So how do you feel about this head unit?

30:14You've been playing with the last 15, 20 minutes?

30:16Yeah it was actually better than expected to be

30:22after the market head unit. I use the thing that it couldn't be as smooth and as

30:27looking like fit fit in everything kind of nice like this is color and everything so

30:30Kind of nice like this

30:31Color and'll and everything

30:33So yeah

30:34I think I love it

30:35And especially

30:36The only reason why

30:38I decided to get it

30:39Because I like the

30:41Minimalistic

30:42Look up the car play

30:43And from your view.

30:44It looks like everything

30:45Is very cohesive

30:46Yeah

30:47From the driver's side

30:48Every even the screen

30:49Is slightly tilted towards him

30:51Yeah

30:52So you can see it

30:53And then the car play

30:54Is the main reason

30:56Um

30:57Pretty easy again

30:58We just hook up to the Bluetooth

30:59It automatically changed to Z-Link

31:01When the Bluetooth was hooked up

31:02And now it's doing the handshake

31:04So what happens is

31:05The Bluetooth basically handshakes back

31:07And then this turns

31:09Or his phone turns into a hotspot

31:11So the hotspot transfers

31:12All the data over

31:13And he can still use a cellular

31:15To transfer to data

31:17So now

31:18We're getting a wifi connection

31:20And it does take a minute to

31:22Basically handshake

31:25Oh dude

31:26This guy's going

31:27You got some

31:29I didn't know you like M&M

31:36Anything, anything you want to say about the install process you saw it was it was

31:41fairly straightforward and easy yeah only the hardest part I think was to

31:46take up like the screws on on this part right here but once we the rest was

31:47pretty easy even, though you know I know I don't know a lot of stuff about car stuff

31:59but fairly easy if I can do it if you guys can do it anyways that's a wrap if you guys

32:00If I can do it

32:01You guys can do it

32:02Cool

32:03Anyways that's a wrap

32:04If you guys were looking to buy

32:05This Honda Civic 2010 head unit

32:07This also works for

32:08Anything that has this kind of design

32:10So I know that

32:11In some markets called the CX

32:13The Acura CX

32:14Or the Honda CX

32:15And stuff like that

32:16You'd be able to fit it like this

32:17It was pretty easy

32:18The only thing that we did lose

32:19Was the airbag

32:20Because the airbag

32:21Was right here

32:22We just removed it

32:23It's just basic

32:24In the back now

32:25So if I sit

32:26I don't know if the airbag is off

32:27But obviously it should be on

32:28Other than that

32:31Yeah, links down below and where you can buy it.

32:34Thank you guys for watching.

32:35See you guys in the next one.
