Overview
A pre-install look at the Dasaita head unit for the 2016–2021 Civic. It arrives well packed, with foam cut to the unit's curves and a thick protective film on the screen. The main harness is the "meat and potatoes": it carries power (labeled Honda Civic 16), the FM antenna, CAN bus, extra antennas, and leads for both the backup camera and the side camera on Civics that have LaneWatch, which you keep. Dasaita also includes adapters to retain the factory USB ports (one labeled Toyota and one Honda; John says they're often universal). The microphone is built into the unit, which he prefers. On top is a wiring diagram for troubleshooting, and on the back are the main harness plug, an HDMI out, the GPS and AM/FM antenna ports, RCA jacks, USB, DVR, camera and TV-out connections, and an optional TPMS add-on. There's also expandable storage for music and video. John calls Dasaita one of his favorite brands for reliability, returns and customer care.

0:00What's up guys, it's your boy John. John and we're back again here with another video today
0:04We're taking a look at the Dasaita and an unboxing
0:08Now this is gonna be for the Honda Civic 720p and I'll put all the specs right here
0:13Anyways, it's a really nice box nice and white
0:16let's
0:18Pop it out. Now we have the good foam. So
0:22Honda Civic make sure you have protect that nice Honda Civic head unit
0:25the side that provides it.
0:28If you do this kind of like floating design,
0:29you can kind of check out the packaging.
0:32So, boom, and each foam is cut out specifically
0:37for the edges and curves.
0:40You can just kind of see the molding of the head unit.
0:44Now we'll put that to the side.
0:46It also comes with a user manual, so that's pretty sweet.
0:50Harnesses, this has subwoofer outputs, microphones, USBs,
0:55GPS antennas and even Wi-Fi, so you're all going to be safe when it comes to that stuff.
1:02This is kind of more of the harnesses that you really want.
1:05This, so those are kind of like the extra stuff, USBs and the microphone and whatnot.
1:10This harnesses is the meat and potatoes of what you need.
1:16Now if you want to retain your USB factories,
1:21the SIDA actually provides the Honda adapters for them.
1:24So that's a really nice, yet you get two.
1:26One for Toyota and one for Honda.
1:29Or they're both Toyota actually.
1:31Sometimes they are universal.
1:34So they're labeled Toyota, but they probably work for the Honda.
1:38And then you get get this right here.
1:40Now, this might look a little crazy to y'all,
1:44but I'll try to walk it down to you.
1:46FM radio antenna.
1:49all these are sometimes redundant but it's what you kind of need for
1:53backup camera so this one says Honda Civic 16 power cable
1:57and even additional antennas right there for you and
2:01camera. Honda Civics though have a side camera
2:05so what that is is on your side mirror there's a camera on the EX
2:10and you'll be able to retain that with this so that's pretty awesome
2:14and it also has a the
2:17there you'll see side cam awesome and you'll also have a backup camera right
2:22there too. So we'll be able to hook that up and make it look all nice. Now some or some
2:26questions you might get is well so backup camera doesn't work yet.
2:30side camera yes. Stereo controls yes you'll have all that functioning. Boom! So this is the
2:38actual head unit probably what you guys want to see. Now it's taped really nice. Good bag.
2:48Has some good thickness to it. Now when you get the thing from the Dasaita they will like kind of
2:53shrink wrap this with some kind of like screen protector like material it's kind of thick kind
2:58kind of sticky, not sticky but it does have some friction to it. Yeah it's just a
3:04thick piece of screen protector. Now you have the volume buttons, navigation, media
3:09controls and this signal symbol usually means home and you get reset in your
3:14microphone. I actually use what prefer to use the microphone it's just on the
3:17head unit itself than using a external one. Now that is the frunk going to
3:24the top of the head unit tells you more about each of the diagrams when it comes to
3:30to the circuit. Really useful if you're having
3:33having no issues and a spew you're like hey my illumination or I'm not getting
3:37in power. This is plug-and-play so you shouldn't have to worry about that but if
3:41you want to look into the new degrees you can look at every of the whole
3:44wiring diagram and the circuit diagram. Going to the back of the head unit you
3:54You plug plug this harness right here and all all this stuff right here plugged into the back of your Honda Civic
4:01Now we have the HDMI out. So that's nice. I believe that's for audio
4:08You have your GPS antenna and your Wi-Fi antenna, which was in this bag right here
4:14This is your FM AM radio antenna and these are your miscellaneous things like
4:21like the rca jacks, the usb cables, the dvr, oxen,
4:27camera, and tpms, and tpms, if you want
4:51And it has an LCV 13, which I don't know, and 6.
4:56That usually might mean a higher-end IPS panel, and...
5:006-core CPU so and we also have a micro SD slot for expandable storage if you like
5:07to store a lot of video movies music you can do that on this side there is
5:13nothing so yep that is the Android head unit from the SIDA the SIDA is one of my
5:21favorite brands they are super reliable and they're off of Amazon so if you
5:25are interested in buying from Amazon I'll put a link down below they have
5:29great return policies and customer care so they'll take care of you and that's
5:33what the peace of mind when it comes to this idea they're very snappy with the
5:37responses so here you go check it out thank you guys for watching I'll catch
5:42you guys in the next one peace
