Yes — you can install This kit on the EZoneTronics 9" Android head unit for the Hyundai Elantra 2011–2015 (Amazon and eBay links in the description) with a 11 min DIY job. Overview
John and a friend install a budget EZoneTronics Android head unit (about $150–160) in a 2011–2015 Hyundai Elantra. Start at the center trim: pry it toward you to release the clips, which reveals the screws holding the radio, two on each side. The factory unit is heavy and the edges are sharp, so pull it straight out carefully and unplug the main speaker/power connector (front and rear speakers, power, accessory), the radio antenna and the XM antenna. The XM antenna isn't reused because the new unit doesn't support XM. The new unit plugs into the same connectors plus the radio antenna and the small USB. Line up the little guide pins on the back before pushing it in. Fire up the car before screwing everything down: check that it powers on, that there's sound, and that Bluetooth and radio work. Set the radio region to United States so the stations line up. Then screw in the GPS antenna, fish it back, screw the unit in (the guide holes help) and refit the trim; popping those small plastic trims off is the hardest part. The unit runs Android 10 with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, Google Play, Google Maps, Waze, YouTube and an EasyConnect-style phone link app.

Step by step
- 1
Pry the center trim▶ 1:00
Start at the corner and pry the trim toward you to release it. That reveals the radio screws.
- 2
Remove the screws▶ 1:30
There are two screws on each side holding the radio in. Keep them; you'll reuse them.
- 3
Pull the factory radio▶ 2:37
Pull it straight out. It's heavy and the edges are sharp, so be careful.
Warning: Watch your hands on the metal edges.
- 4
Unplug the factory unit▶ 2:50
Unplug the main connector (front and rear speakers, power, accessory), the radio antenna and the XM antenna. XM isn't reused because the new unit doesn't have it.
- 5
Test-fit the new unit▶ 3:21
The EZoneTronics unit fits the Elantra opening; test-fit it before wiring.
- 6
Plug it in▶ 3:56
Connect the main harness, the radio antenna, the black cable and the small USB. Make sure each one snaps in all the way.
- 7
Line up the guide pins▶ 5:33
The back has little guide pins that need to line up with the holes in the dash on both sides. If one side doesn't line up, give it a gentle push.
- 8
Test before you button up▶ 5:53
Start the car. If it doesn't turn on, check your wiring. If it does, check sound, Bluetooth and radio. The boot logo says Kia, but you can change it in settings.
Tip: Set the radio region to United States so the FM stations line up.
- 9
GPS antenna and screws▶ 6:53
Screw in the GPS antenna, fish the wiring back, then reinstall the screws on each side using the guide holes for a good fit.
- 10
Refit the trim▶ 7:58
The small trims are only held by plastic retainers. They need a little force, so don't be afraid to pop them back on. This is the hardest part of the install.
- 11
What you get▶ 8:37
Android 10, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, with Bluetooth, radio, Google Play, Google Maps and Waze, plus a phone-link app and lots of extra settings.

1:04Pride, you forcing it this way.
1:08After that, screws right.
1:13So there's gonna be one,
1:15two, three, four.
1:18And there are fillet- the screws right.
1:20So they're not like this and there's for them.
1:23And you just remove that.
1:25That's gonna remove the.
1:27And that's gonna.
1:28Did you screw these ones in right here.
1:30All right, so remove these two right here two on each side. I think I have
1:37a
2:09Google Assistant, YouTubes.
2:15Now do you need YouTube?
2:17No, but if you're sitting in your car,
2:20for whatever reason at a drive-through
2:24or driving like that, you know,
2:26you're just sitting in your car waiting for your
2:28shift to be over.
2:30That's it.
2:31You wanna watch YouTube.
2:33So after removing four of those screws,
2:36the whole unit just a pulls out.
2:38And my assistant is gonna show that right here.
2:41Now it is heavy, be careful and watch for these brackets
2:46because they are kinda sharp.
2:48You can tell right there.
2:50You wanna pull it straight out.
2:51And then you wanna unplug all the wires right here.
2:54Which we did.
2:56So they'ree're gonna have the main speaker wires
2:58for rear power accessories.
3:01You're gonna have a radio and this was another antenna.
3:04Did you have XM radio?
3:06Yes, I did.
3:07So that's in your XM antenna radio.
3:09We're not gonna reuse this because the new head unit
3:11does not have XM and yeah.
3:14That's a pretty easy uninstall of the factory
3:18and now we're gonna install the new one.
3:21Right, so look how beautiful this unit in
3:23and you can kinda test fit it.
3:26it fits in all good. Make sure for your Hyundai Elantra,
3:32even though it's the,,
3:32the same model year, you can that fitment around.
3:35It's actually the difference will.
3:37So, R's case.
3:39So, we're gonna have to plug in the black harness
3:45to the OEM harness.
3:48Plug that bad boy in.
3:50Y'all yeet, y'all yeet.
3:53That's good.
3:55And then we have the, and then we, the antenna
3:59and then we have the antenna.
4:04The USB.
4:06the antenna is right here.
4:08And we're just gonna fit it in the back.
4:10so that this one.
4:12This antenna is gonna fit right here.
4:15this black cable is gonna have a fit right here.
4:18And this USB is gonna fit in the small USB right here.
4:21So, you can get that in.
4:24You need me to help hold it it or no.
4:26You, you just plug it in.
4:31You just plug it in
4:41Yeah that
4:42Get that USB in there
4:52Should be
4:55Should hear this nice make sure this one's snapped in all the way to is it plug in all the way
5:10And then you're gonna have to kind of work your magic a little. A harder in the
5:14Camera but get that antenna that antenna is for your radio signal now
5:19but we still have the GPS one right now,
5:21but we're gonna focus on this setup first,
5:24make sure it runs until we add additional features.
5:33Now, there are some guiding holes right here here.
5:36So these little nipples right here,
5:39you wanna make sure they lined up.
5:41Line up here, line up here.
5:46This side is not lining up, so we're gonna make sure.
5:49Sometimes it's gonna give it a little oof and boom.
5:53So the next process I would do, so I'll fire up the car,
5:56make sure it turns on.
5:57If it doesn't, check your wiring.
5:59If it does, kind of mess with the settings,
6:02make sure there's sound and stuff like that.
6:03Now we have it say Kia, we can change that.
6:07So don't worry, you can, change that in the settings.
6:10that's the initial boot. So we do have it right here guys. Let me see if I can make a little bit brighter
6:16if if you guys can see that, but we we have all the settings right here. Let...let's try bluetooth and radio
6:22make sure everything works. We are getting audio from what you guys can hear that.
6:31We might have to go in the settings and adjust the radio frequencies.
6:36So it's a united states. Well other than that it.
6:39We should be good
6:44Almost 6.5
6:47There you go we got sound
6:49All right, so we we know the system works and everything with the Bluetooth
6:53We're actually gonna install that GPS wire and just a little screw over there
6:58I'm just gonna screw it in
7:01boom
7:02And now we slowly fish it
7:05back, make sure the fitment is good and we are going to screw in, remember how we did
7:10two screws at each side, one right here, one over there, one over there, yeah, so there
7:18is three, so there is three, we had the little guiding holes, make sure the guiding holes
7:26go in, guiding hole, guiding hole here, this one needs to be a little bit more, good
7:33Good fitment, good fitment.
7:35Check out that fitment boys and girls.
7:41Now we're gonna screw that in and it's looking good.
7:45The little shell's back on.
7:53Let's go to the inside of it.
7:58All you do is do it.
7:59This is probably the hardest part of the install, removing these little trims.
8:09Because they're just plastic, they're just held by plastic retainers.
8:12So they do require a little force to, don't be afraid to pop it off.
8:20There it is.
8:21Let's a
8:23can we uh, fire up and get old car and see how she does.
8:35But there you guys have it.
8:37You have Android version 10 two gigs of Ram 16 gigs of storage.
