Six amber LED pods clip into the Cybertruck's lower grille and wire into Tesla's pre-wired front accessory power. You switch them from the touchscreen (Outlets & Mods → Power Feed Front), with no cabin switch and no drilling. This 13 min guide covers the Tesla Cybertruck lower grille (Hansshow link in the video description) with tools, parts links and the.
Overview
Hansshow's kit adds six amber LED pods to the Cybertruck's lower grille for an aggressive, tactical front end and better close-range visibility at night. It comes with the pods, a wire loom, wire nuts, zip ties and a trim tool. Hansshow's own layout uses a zigzag across the grille rows. John mounted his along the bottom row, where they sit flush with no wiggle and look OEM when off. The bumper lip blocks a little of the downward light, but you can't see that area from the driver's seat anyway. The pods are plug-and-play and route behind the tow-hook cover, so no wires dangle behind the grille. Power comes from the feed Tesla pre-wired at the front for accessories. Getting to it means removing the windshield trim, the frunk trim tabs and six 10mm bolts. Splice red to Tesla's red/blue feed and black to the brown/blue ground with the included wire nuts. There's no cabin switch: turn them on under Outlets & Mods → Power Feed Front, and with the outlets set to stay on, they can run for up to 12 hours with the truck parked, which is handy for camping. Retail was listed around $300, but they were on sale for about $100 when he filmed.

- Zip ties
Step by step
- 1
Check the kit▶ 0:29
Six LED lights, a trim tool, a wire loom, wire nuts and zip ties.
- 2
Choose the layout▶ 0:42
Hansshow shows a zigzag pattern. John put all six along the bottom grille row, where they sit flush and look OEM when off.
- 3
Accept a little lost light▶ 1:24
The bottom bumper lip blocks some light heading down. You can't see that area from the driver's seat, so he left it.
- 4
Remove the windshield trim▶ 2:24
It's held only by tabs. Lift it straight up with the pry tool. The next panel (the cabin-filter cover) is also just tabs and is easy to pull.
- 5
Unbolt the frunk trim▶ 3:10
Pull the tabs, then remove two 10mm bolts plus one more on each side. Take off the washer-fluid cap and the hood-support rubber bumpers (turn and pull, no tools).
- 6
Unplug the frunk button▶ 4:33
There's a button with power. Disconnect its wire, then pull the hood open/close button out through its hole.
- 7
Open the tow-hook cover▶ 5:32
Pry out the tow-hook cover. It's rubber and plastic with two tabs on top and two on the bottom. That gives you a path for the single lead.
- 8
Route the lead behind the grille▶ 6:10
Mounting low means the wires rest behind the grille insert instead of dangling, so you don't need many zip ties. Feed the lead through behind the tow-hook cover.
- 9
Connect the wire loom▶ 6:39
Connect the included loom. Match the arrows and push. The connectors are solid and won't loosen over time.
- 10
Use Tesla's pre-wired power▶ 7:36
Tesla pre-wired a front power feed for accessories, so there's no need to add a cabin switch.
- 11
Splice with wire nuts▶ 8:28
Hansshow red to Tesla's red/blue wire, and Hansshow black (ground) to Tesla's brown/blue wire, using the wire nuts. Zip-tie the loom.
Tip: Only two wire nuts are included, so have a spare handy in case you drop one.
- 12
Turn them on from the screen▶ 9:37
It's not under Lights. Go to Outlets & Mods and enable Power Feed Front.
- 13
Parked use▶ 10:03
With the outlets set to stay on, the lights can stay on for up to 12 hours while the truck is off, which is useful for camping.
- 14
Verdict▶ 10:55
A clean look and a noticeable boost in close-range light. Listed around $300, it was on sale for about $100 when he filmed.

0:22What's up everybody we got the Honcho Cybertruck Lower Grover LED Light Bar Kit.
0:29I already unboxed it, but it comes with 6 LED lights, trim trim tool, some wire n, and some zip ties.
0:42So it it is going to be going down here, so this is what the light strip looks like if you just put it on the bottom, which I don't see Honcho displaying.
0:54They kind of do kind of a zigzag pattern or all on this third row.
0:59I think it looks pretty cool.
1:03You can't even tell too much during while it's off that it's there.
1:08It looks very OEM.
1:10Very flush, you can kind of see the tabs.
1:15Flush.
1:17No wiggle.
1:24And then I'm thinking, so this bottom bumper might interrupt some of the light input going down, interrupting that angle.
1:32down that angle and so when the honcho installs it, it gets, it's a little bit more light
1:38input towards the ground right here.
1:41But I don't think that matters because you can't really see down here anyways from
1:46the driver's seat.
1:47So I think I'm gonna leave it like that.
1:49Looks really clean.
1:50Since it's not gonna be like gap polite gap gap. It's just
1:55Gap gap gap, and this kind of looks like it's supposed to be there. I
2:01like that. I'm gonna go ahead and connect these and then
2:05We'll go on to the next step
2:08So I started this assembling the frunk
2:10Like I said, Honshow did a lot already on the tutorial in terms of how this assembled
2:17the fronks, but I went ahead and started pre-disassembling it so I can show you what's going on here.
2:24The first piece you're going to disassemble is this windshield trim piece.
2:28It's going to have nothing but tabs, so you're going to see a bunch of tabs.
2:34So you're going to see a bunch of tabs that you just pretty much pull up in the upward motion using that pry tool.
2:40And then you could go ahead and remove this piece.
2:49Yeah, you do need to remove this piece.
2:51You might actually don't need to remove this piece.
2:53But this piece is so easy to remove.
2:55I removed it anyways.
2:56It's still a bunch of tabs using the plastic pry tool.
2:59You'll see where all the tabs just connect and you pull it out.
3:03This is the one that you remove to get to the HEPA filter.
3:07But we're not doing the HEPA filter today.
3:10And then when it comes to the actual frunk, there's these tabs right here that you pull using the pry tool.
3:20And then you'll you'll locate two bolts, two 10 millimeter bolts, and then one 10 millimeter bolt back here.
3:28Same on this side, two 10 millimeter bolts, and then one 10 millimeter bolt on this side.
3:36I went to go ahead and remove the windshield washer reservoir cap right here.
3:41So it just doesn't get in the way.
3:42It was really easy to remove when I removed it.
3:45You also remove these plastic tabs, bumpers for the hood supports.
3:52It's a simple turn kind of clockwise a little bit and then you pull out.
3:59you can see by the angle of this tab.
4:00angle of this tab. That's what you use for that. No tools required on that one.
4:07You simply just turn counterclockwise and you can't get straight up. So I think I
4:14haven't completely removed it yet. But I think that's all you need to do for
4:18that. Let's go ahead and check this. Yeah, just really no resistance. No. Actually, there is a button
4:33right here and some power. So you just have to disconnect this wire and then you'll be
4:43I want to pull out the front.
4:51So with this button light, the one that opens up and closes the hood, all you do is you
4:59pull it right here and then you can see a hole, you want to grip it from here and you
5:04even want to just kind of pull it out like that. And it comes out. And then there you have it.
5:20Access to underneath the the front assembly. It's my first time seeing this. It's pretty wild.
5:27So all these are simple plug and play snaps right into place, to get access behind this
5:32So all these are simple plug-and-play snaps right into place to get access behind this tow hook cover.
5:39All you do is you take off this use this plastic pry tool and you go ahead and pry it all out.
5:46And there's rubber and plastic on outside and four tabs, two tabs on the top, two tabs on the bottom.
5:52Just wiggle it out.
5:54See here, you just take the pry tool on under each of these tabs and pry that out.
6:02I'll give you access to behind the tow hook cover for the one lead, you're not
6:10dealing with multiple wires and then what I like about installing it down here is
6:16you don't have to worry about wires dangling they're resting right behind
6:22the grill insert because if you would install it higher up you would have to
6:27worry about zip tying it for our cleaner wire management. So this one looks like
6:30So this one looks like there's just some phone you stick it through.
6:35And then there you have it right there behind the tow hook cover.
6:39And then you take this wire loom that they gave you and go ahead and connect it.
6:46Might be easier for me to connect it over here since there's not much space for me to deal with
6:56the kids, playing in the background.
6:59Then, connect it. These connectors are really,.
7:07They're not going to loosen this over time.
7:21So you just match up the arrows, push in, that's it.
7:25There we go. Now that I've connected, I could have a little more leverage to pull it out and feed it through here.
7:31and feed it through here.
7:35Tustle is awesome®.
7:36They already knew that we were going to mess with and then they pre-wired some power
7:41for us right here.
7:42how it looks like. This is how it looks like
7:46from the factory untouched.
7:50They already have pre-wired for us for us to
7:53install any accessories. I've seen some people install like
7:57microwaves and ovens in front extra outlet so we're going to use this power
8:10And the great thing about this is we're not messing with any switches on the inside.
8:16It's already pre-wired. No plastic switches that go out of place.
8:21There's already a button to fix the UI.
8:28Yeah, so I finished up the wires.
8:32All you do is you connect the Hancho's red wire right here to Tesla's red wire.
8:41Tesla's red wire is red and blue.
8:44And then you use, this is the, they give you Hancho gives you two wire nuts.
8:53I dropped one. I'm such a klutz.
8:55I used my orange ones for the ground or the negative.
9:01So you can Hancho black one to Tesla's brown and blue wire.
9:10And then yout'll see in Tesla's wire loom, the one that's right here, they'll have an.
9:17It's just some lights, nothing too crazy.
9:22And then,,...
9:24, but let's go ahead and show you.
9:31back but let's go ahead and show you spew you what it looks like when you turn on the lights.
9:37To turn on the lights it's not going to be under the lights tab of the Tesla it's going to be
9:43under the outlets and mods. So you don't need any extra cheap switches or drill holes in your interior to
9:51turn it on and off for auxiliary switches. Tesla has already hooked it up and
9:56included within the software a power feed front button so you turn that on that
10:03button will power up the honcho lights and then you can have different options
10:10here you could keep the outlets on outlets will remain on for 12 hours so
10:13you could keep these lights on for 12 hours while the Cybertruck is
10:18off I mean you could use that for let's just say if you're camping over
10:22night and you want some lights to light up the ambient area around you these nice
10:34So let's go see what it looks like with the power feed front on.
10:38Here we have it.
10:55I can't believe how cheap these are.
10:57I mean, retail right now, they haven't listed at 300, but they're on sale for around 100 bucks.
11:04Super clean look.
11:06You can already see with the light bouncing off of the bumper.
11:09It's going to be a decent amount of increased intensity.
11:12So I'm going to go ahead and clean up the wires and go ahead and put everything back.
11:15And then I'll go ahead and show you what the light output looks like at night.
12:34I'll see you in the next video.
