Three quick Hansshow installs on the Model Y: stick-on RGB door sills, a plug-in cup holder with an air freshener and USB ports, and a real carbon license plate frame. This 5 min guide covers the Shown on the Tesla Model Y (the door sills and cup holder are Hansshow Tesla parts per the description links) with tools, parts links.

Overview

John shows three new Hansshow products for the Tesla, picked because they're so easy to install. The illuminated RGB door sills stick on, with a sensor that knows when the door is open and a button to cycle colors. The cup holder insert plugs into the 12V socket and adds USB-C and USB-A ports, RGB ambient light and an air freshener whose intensity you can adjust. The real carbon plate frame hides its screws and swaps in with two screws out, two in. John mentions his code for over 20% off at Hansshow.

Step by step

  1. 1

    RGB door sills▶ 0:12

The illuminated sills have a small sensor so they know when the door is open. Press the button to cycle colors. John likes red with the black look; purple and white are options too. They're on the rear doors as well.

  2. 2

    Fresh cabin filter▶ 0:59

They changed the cabin air filter first because it was stinky.

  3. 3

    Air freshener cup holder▶ 1:07

The cup holder has two USB-C and USB-A ports, and the air freshener at the bottom has coils that warm up. Plug it into the cigarette lighter (12V) socket, set it on top of the cup holders, and you're done.

  4. 4

    Light and scent settings▶ 1:31

Press the button to cycle the RGB light, and adjust the intensity of the smell. John says the ambient light makes the interior more interesting without looking too crazy.

  5. 5

    Carbon fiber plate frame▶ 2:30

It's real carbon fiber, and the screws aren't exposed. The original Tesla screws stay mounted at the bottom and the new screws on top are covered. Install is two screws out, two screws in with the new frame.

  6. 6

    Second frame▶ 3:03

It comes as a pack of two. The Tesla has no front plate, so you can use the second on another car. John liked it so much he put it on his other car too.
