John unboxes and installs a Milltek Road+ resonated, valved triple-tip cat-back on his DE5 Integra Type S, then compares it with stock in Comfort, Sport and Sport+: about stock in Comfort, a notch or two louder in Sport, no drone. This 14 min guide covers the Milltek Road+ cat-back made for the Acura Integra DE5 Type S, per the video.

Overview

John wanted a triple-tip, valved cat-back for his Integra Type S, which he says was hard to find for this car as of 2024, and went with the Milltek Road+ (the resonated version). Milltek's description says it's T304L stainless steel with 3" piping and offers several tip finishes. It's made in England, came very well packed, and the welds look clean. The tips are double-walled and about the same size and opening as stock. The center tip discolors from the pops in Sport mode, so some owners polish it, and you could paint the inside black for a more OEM look. The install reuses the valve with its spring and sleeve, goes back in the reverse of removal, and is easier because the system comes in multiple pieces. John left everything loose to line up the tips, used double-sided tape and zip ties on a loose piece, and spent about two hours adjusting the tips. He was still looking up the front-pipe-to-downpipe torque spec in the video. On the road, Comfort sounds and feels like stock (maybe half a notch louder), Sport is a notch or two louder, and Sport+ with the valve fully open is loud, especially with an aggressive pop tune. His verdict: a good OEM-plus exhaust for daily driving with no drone. The exhaust came from Milltek, which isn't one of John's affiliate stores, so the buttons below are search links and a generic tool pick.

2:37That was loud only the pops are that I feel like the exhaust is a few not just louder but nothing

2:56too crazy what's up guys it's your boy John we are back again here in here with

3:16What's up guys?

3:17It's your boy John.

3:18We are back again here with another video.

3:20Today we'll be taking a look at the Integra Type S

3:23for a highly anticipated video, the Mil-Tec Exhaust.

3:27Our few exhausts in the market right now.

3:29Some are dual, some are triple.

3:32I want to stick with the triple exhaust tips.

3:34This just keeps it, when I think of the Type R,

3:37I think

3:38of a triple exhaust.

3:39So I had to retain that.

3:40It's just built into my head.

3:43Double tips are cool, or two tips are cool too, but triple is where it's at.

3:48Yeah, Mil-Tec Exhaust, I want it's valve and it's pretty well built.

3:56So I'll show you the packaging, the unboxing,

3:59of course the sound comparisons you probably already hear,

4:01I'll probably do in the intro.

4:02But yeah, the packaging is really nice.

4:08So it came with two boxes.

4:11Thanks.

4:13It's love it, kid loves the cars.

4:15But yeah, the exhaust right here is packaged really nice.

4:21Check this out.

4:23It's the one where you pop the bag and then it fills in the rest.

4:28And so I want a really nice poly exhaust.

4:39Yes, it's made in England.

4:44And yeah,, look at this, all this padding, these welds.

4:48I'll show you the welds and stuff.

4:49I'm not a weld expert or anything,

4:51but I didn't want no Chinese exhaust to be honest.

4:56Woo, yeah, a lot of reviewers or YouTubers

5:00or YouTubers they don't really, really show the whole experience.

5:03But when you're dropping this much loft or something,

5:05you want to see it right now.

5:08Woo, that's the

5:09the valve portion right there.

5:11Okay, I'm kind of weak.

5:14So only two hands.

5:17All right, so here's the exhaust.

5:20The canisters are supposed to be like this.

5:23Just to let you guys know,

5:24so so the Mil-Tec is actually supposed to be facing down.

5:26I just wanted to show you like this.

5:27So show that little design right there.

5:31mill tech sport

5:33tips

5:35the valve

5:38Here are the tips there are the tips so they do have a little double wall kind of it's

5:52not as crazy as like thick as the EWE or the stock one the tips are actually the same

5:57size as stock so you like the way the stock size are but it's just missing a lot of

6:04that black thought more open looking.

6:08So the size itself is the, I would say about the same.,

6:17anything, the milk tech might be a hair.

6:20No, it's about the same.

6:22and the opening is as pretty much the same as the OEM one.

6:33The OEM one in the middle.

6:36So all your all the openings are going to be kind of like that size.

6:41Now, if you want to get that OEM look,

6:43I guess you could paint the inner black, like a matte black.

6:47This is this finish actually goes away after a while.

6:50So some people actually just polish this

6:53your center one actually gets really,

6:56you got the pops and bangs and you always open in sport mode.

6:59It's like kind of trippy right there.

7:02But yeah, something like this.

7:07Beautiful. It's Mil-Tec.

7:09So I'll get this installed and yeah,

7:13it's going to be a lot of work.

7:15So you just plug it back in.

7:28All right.

7:29And then it includes a spring.

7:30All right, and then it includes this spring and you kind of just lash it right in between the sleeve.

7:50Something like that.

7:56Right now it's kind of like that partial open.

8:21Similar to how you removed it,

8:23you you put it back in.

8:24Of course, it's a lot easier because this is multiple pieces.

8:27Now, I have everything is kind of loose.

8:30everything is kind of loose. I the valve is right there looking beautiful. the extension

8:38the flip is kind of loose so i don't know if you can see right there but i put some double

8:45side tape and i use zip ties let's see it was all the way back good again i still

8:56have everything loosey-goosey and bolted down it does look great now. the only the

9:00It does look great.

9:06Now the only the four teams connecting the front pipe

9:10to the down pipe.

9:12I don't know the the torque specs.

9:16I've been trying to look it up,

9:17but I'll put it right here in the description

9:20or something like that if I do find it.

9:22It is 40 foot-pounds from the front pipe to the down pipe.

9:25It's pretty evil.

9:26All right, a quick comparison here and there.

9:33I thought this exhaust was going to be a lot louder

9:36than stock.

9:38That's just just how it was thinking.

9:40I know it's a turbocharged car

9:42so it's not going to be anything crazy

9:44and the stock and Tegra Type-S exhaust is already

9:48pretty free-flowing and it's not straight pipe

9:51but they're doing that small muffler.

9:53So with the Mil-Tec exhaust,

10:01the Mil-Tec exhaust exhaust,

10:03I would say it's like a notch or two louder.

10:08the Mil-Tec exhaust, I would say it's like a notch or two louder.

10:09So it's just a notch or two louder.

10:13I'm in sport mode right now.

10:15In comfort, it is quiet.

10:24It feels like 1.5 notch louder than comfort

10:27with the stock exhaust.

10:29I'm driving 3,000 RPM.

10:31I'm shifting.

10:32It's pretty quiet.

10:34That's actually what I wanted in comfort.

10:36Now in sport, again, just like a notch or two louder,

10:40not even two not should be a,

10:42a notch or two.

10:44It's pretty.

10:45It's pretty quiet.

10:46It's pretty quiet.

10:47It's pretty quiet.

10:52It's like a notch or two

10:53or two louder.

10:54Not even two not should be a notch or two.

10:57And in all minds and minds,

11:01for sport plus with the windows down,

11:07it gives it that nice like OEM plus exhaust.

11:11So if you're looking for an OEM plus exhaust,

11:13it's not obnoxious.

11:14The Mil-Tec, with the resonator road plus,

11:17is the way to go.

11:18Now the pops,

11:19I have the Faribull more aggressive pops

11:21by John Vega.

11:23And it's good.

11:26I mean, it is really aggressive

11:29and maybe a little too obnoxious.

11:31but you can throw it in sport plus mode, or sport mode,

11:34and then your pops are gone.

11:35But the pops are

11:37I mean, you heard the videos

11:39it is on the stock exhaust,

11:43it's already a hair too loud.

11:46Now with this one, it is very loud.

11:51So if you want it to be a menace to society,

11:55a little troll, throw in a sport plus, start revving it,

11:59and it might make you smile, it does make me smile,

12:00It does make me smile,

12:01but I'm in sport plus right now.

12:05And we are at Dutch Bros.

12:10nothing too crazy compared to stock,

12:11but it is at that lower RPM.

12:13But when I was revving to 4k RPM,

12:15it was way louder.

12:20But yeah,

12:21thank you guys for watching.

12:22I'm at Dutch Bros.

12:23Let me know.

12:24What do you guys think?

12:25Link down below if you were looking to buy.

12:27Appreciate it.

12:31All right,

12:36so we,

12:38I know I was probably wrapping it up in the car,

12:40but I'm just going to show you the exhaust.

12:42Now the tips,

12:44I spent a lot of time.

12:45Adjusting the tips

12:47and still not perfect.

12:49OEM ones weren't 100% symmetrical as well.

12:53But I did some little bending in here and there.

12:56I'm going to have it heated up a little bit,

12:58and then I'm going to kind of play with the tips.

13:01But it's not too bad the way it is

13:03after like two hours of adjusting.

13:06But yeah,

13:07the Milltec exhaust,

13:09it's a win for me.

13:10Something that's right now,

13:12it's in the sport plus valve,

13:13it's fully open.

13:14I don't see if you guys are here to difference.

13:16Maybe that's going to pick them in camera.

13:21But now it's in comfort and it's way quieter.

13:24And of course the valve is closed

13:32so yeah,

13:35I just,

13:36I'm playing with it,

13:37making the tips a little bit more,

13:39I'm going to pull this one a little bit this way,

13:41continue pulling it a little bit here and there.

13:44But the tips actually look really nice.

13:47I wanted a double wall kind of look,

13:49but this actually looks freaking sweet

13:52and it looks extra big.

13:54Maybe it's just spits some fireballs.

13:57Sheesh!
