0:00I doing head unit video like a really low resolution like something from

0:06Like a Nintendo DS or something like that down you pull out and you can see there

0:30What's up guys? It's your boy John. We are back again with another I doing head unit video

0:37So the I doing honey in a view obviously a lot of people are asking about the corolla's

0:43I got a few comments

0:44So if that was you shout I'll see you because we're gonna

0:46Be doing a curl today, so this is a new like a the facelift version of this generation

0:52You have a little bit newer headlights dashes slightly different now the customer

0:57Wants the newest revision from I doing the one that has the buttons

1:03Sorry did the unboxing but these have hard buttons

1:07It's just gonna be easier for you the user to volume up down and also press the back button stuffs like that

1:13so

1:14Some some new stuff right here and with any I doing head unit. It's very

1:20easy to install all the harnesses are included you don't need to buy anything you buy the head unit and you're good to go

1:27So if you were interested in this product, I'll leave a link down below remember you just buy it forget it

1:31You don't have to buy anything else

1:35Cuz plug and pay baby plug and play so I'm gonna cut to a

1:40A

1:42Shot of me uninstalling it for you guys, and then we'll get to the future of me installing this current I doing one

1:49Alright, so we are in the corolla this one actually doesn't look too bad

1:54It's around the screen. It does look like a really low resolution like something from

1:59Like a Nintendo DS or something like that uses the old school kind of touchscreen very matte

2:05The screen self has is mad of the and

2:35The trim remover to just pop this up

3:01So when you remove it when you put it back in just have it hook in here first

3:06Then work your way in

3:09After you remove the trim, which is all it only took like two seconds

3:1210 millimeters two on the side. There's gonna be two on the other side

3:24Be careful because it is sharp look I already cut myself, unfortunately

3:28That was because I was removing the

3:30So I don't want to block the camera, but I'd also don't want to drop the screw

3:37What am I gonna do right?

3:42After that you want to be careful not to scratch this so using a kind of towel

3:48Anything to protect it

3:50Because these brackets are actually really sharp

3:56You want to unplug the screws right the plugs right here, so just unplug all of them

4:04It's actually pretty easy. There's these little things. You just press it down and you pull out

4:09And you can see they're all facing up. So shouldn't be a problem

4:15All right, so the oem unit is removed. All right, so welcome to the presence, the presence

4:21After you remove this trim right here, you'll plop it in the new I doing head unit and oh gosh

4:28It looks amazing the screen protector salon. So it's not

4:32You know, it's still protected you can peel it later, but yeah, you just slot it on the back of these things right here

4:39And better being better boom. You're good to go fitment is perfect. Again, look at that

4:46No issues here and again the the user wanted these nice buttons. They're so clicky and tactile

4:54Oh, I love it

4:56Now when it comes to the next portion

5:00It's

5:00Also very easy

5:02We have

5:03These connectors right here and I'm just going to tell you what each connector does

5:09Okay, so each connector we have

5:13Now this doesn't mean more than you

5:15Generally need because they wanted to make it as compatible with as many head units as possible

5:21But these are the ones that you really need to care about

5:25Is the 10 pin and the six pin now the 10 pin right here is on my left

5:31This controls power

5:34Headlight diming switches front audio

5:39And just getting the unit working so these two are the main plugs and this is the six pin

5:44This controls the rear speakers. So these are the main ones if you have any issues or you just want to plug these two in

5:50You

5:59These other ones will dictate backup camera

6:01Um other stuff like steering wheel controls and so forth, but I'll plug it and I'll show you guys what the situation is

6:09All right, so these ones are going to be the passenger airbag what you unclipped and then this was the hazard switch

6:16You can clearly see it right there makes sense

6:19Now the back of these ones, there's four connectors

6:30One two three maybe a 26 pin and then um another 28 pin

6:41This is going to be your radio antenna

6:44So you're going to need that for if you listen to FM AM radio

6:48But yeah, these are the connectors and what's great is

6:52We just match it up with this one and they only go one way

6:57All right

6:57So as you can see all the wires are plugged in that were on the back

7:01Remember they're going to be some spare ones, which is totally fine because these are more like redundant ones for other models that you might have

7:12So

7:16So and so forth so you'll be good right there

7:18So we're going to be uh with these things all plugged in one two three four and then five

7:23Including the antenna you're ready to pretty much

7:27See this main black one plug it to the back of the head unit fire it up, and then we can check what, what's going on

7:34The head unit fires right up super fast, which is awesome

7:38Then we are just going to

7:42Check all the audio

7:45And you definitely can hear hear the audio

7:48All right for the backup camera. It's just this one wire

7:53located right here

7:55And you're going to plug it into that back that big old harness that we were plugging in and it's called back

8:01Once you do that

8:07Once you do that when you throw the car

8:10I've just put some plastic bag so it's not scratching anything when i'm putting it down

8:13You can see i have the backup camera showing up perfectly, perfectly

8:17You can also double tap or tap it once to show more

8:21um, like settings if you want the backup camera to be more saturated

8:26Brighter and so forth, so you got back to some of this

8:29So here we go, try it one more time

8:32Put it in reverse and the backup camera with the guidelines are there

8:38So i just want to go over the wiring right before we put all back together

8:43This one came off the the main harness

8:46The harness is just all these wires right here

8:49This one is your usb

8:52So this card comes with a usb somewhere somewhere I think below right here

8:58And I have this port the small little one right here i'm tugging on too

9:03So if that usb is still working

9:07Followed. By this one right here which is a extra usb

9:12And I just have it going into the glove box

9:16So you can just fish it through the glove box

9:20I justותר have it in there so I kind of just put it through here

9:23And circle it around so that's in the glove box

9:28Next off we have what we talked about the backup camera

9:32A bunch of extra wires

9:34I kind of just threw it in again

9:36But this is for if they wanted a sim card and uh extra stuff

9:42So everything is pluggeded in besides the

9:47FM AM radio

9:49So enough slack in it so I kind of when you're putting it back together

9:54You plug it in so I'm going to show that maybe as you can see that

10:03Can't plug it in

10:05While you're putting it back together and don't forget to put in how it really goes

10:10So you want to start from the bottom

10:16And voila

10:19Your head unit is good to go

10:24All right, so if I had this issue, maybe you guys will have the same issue too

10:27So I need to have the steering wheel controls working, but by default it wasn't

10:32So I went to the factory settings with 3368 and I picked these settings

10:39RZC to Yoda, Corolla 2013 to 2019 and now ifing if I open my doors it shows it

10:48If I

10:51Click here it works

10:54And even if I turn on the AC

10:56You can see the settings right here or correspond correctly 23 22

11:02Um, yeah with everything installed. I just wanted to go over the settings real quick

11:13In the systems. So we have the general auto start time

11:18backlight control

11:21Pond just a default mix and whatnot

11:27So you got that going

11:30sound scales, steering controls

11:33Device factory

11:35Users

11:36I like the system right here. You can talk about more information. This is using the android 12

11:43The cpu is an octa core

11:46It's beautiful. It's very speedy resolution is 720p, which is really good

11:51Because of the colors and the viewing that they're using

11:58But yeah, if you guys were interested in this product, I'll leave a link down the below

12:02You can see the fitment. It's amazing. Thank you guys for watching. Catch you guys in the next one. Peace
