0:10What's up guys? It's your boy John. Today we're going to be installing some LED

0:14LED lights on the Civic Type R. Now the reason why we're doing that is the reverse lights are

0:19using halogens, turn signals are using halogens, and some of the interior light bulbs are

0:23well halogens. So we've got lace fits right here. This is going to take the trunk light

0:28these are going to be turn signals, and then we also have the reverse lights. Let me

0:32make a huge difference. You're going to have a nice white glow, and the great thing about

0:35these turn signal ones is CAN-bus ready. So you're not going to have any hyper blink.

0:41So, let's get to it. It's pretty easy to install. You just need a 10 mil

0:46and some prying tools. But yeah, we've got the Type R here. You can see right here it is very dim.

0:53You can't really see anything. How's it look on camera? Very dim. Very dim. Okay. So we can

0:59just pry this bad boy out. Ite's pretty easy. It just comes right out. That we can unplug it.

1:11And this is the OEM one. And we're going to be, replacing it with

1:16with the lace fits. It comes out of pack of two. And this might be kind of hot.

1:23And the great thing about LED is it runs more efficiently. So it's brighter

1:27and there wastes less electricity. So, pop this bad boy in. It's actually very simple.

1:34Now, LEDs are directional where halogens are. So you want to plug it in to

1:38the socket to make sure it lights up. And boom, that's way brighter

1:43. Sneak it back in. And now you can actually see stuff, which is great.

1:51Pretty big difference. Great. Now to do the turn signals, it's, so that Type R has reversed here.

1:59And then we have the turn signals right here. It's actually also very easy.

2:03You just have to pop this piece out. It just held the plastic pieces.

2:12So it's actually not a 10. It's like an eight. There you go.

2:32And then we have the turn signal bulb, which is this bigger bulb. So we just give it unplug

2:43twist it. Lefty loosey. We have the bulb here. So this is the OEM one.

2:49And look how big of a difference. This new one's going to be in.

2:53It's actually crazy how big of a difference it is.

2:57Take it out. Put the new one in. Again, same thing. You want to test it

3:26So do a comparison real quick after we put it back in. Now the front headlights are already LEDs.

3:33I don't know why they cheaped out for the Rears. But I guess the Civic platform

3:39it's about affordability. And here's the little clips right here. So you actually kind of

3:46I use it to pry out a little bit and then you can pull it out.

3:49So this one's more orangy. And this one's more yellowy.

4:02Oh, my God. Yeah. That one is actually really blinding.

4:10Well, that's the color difference. More orangy. Now the one's more yellowy.

4:17There you have it. And then we'll do the reverse is actually very easy.

4:21The good thing about the type bar is there's these little cubbies back here.

4:28You might be able to come in here. You don't have to take this whole thing out.

4:32There's little cubbies where you just pop this back out

4:36and it expose it, which is pretty gnarly. So we're getting this.

4:55The type R is not very good. Same with the Integra. They use the the same cameras.

5:01So the reverse lights being brighter, you can see things clear.

5:10So I might need your keys.

5:14What is it? All right. So we have the driver side with the new lease fit LEDs.

5:29We're going to throw this banner boy in reverse.

5:34Oh, they threw in six. You see it? Great. So you can let me try to adjust the brightness.

5:51So we'll adjust the ISO to see. You can all make the OEM one

5:59look basically like a candle. You can see how much brighter the LED one is.

6:07So that's huge. Very bright, throwing a ton of light

6:15throwing nothing. I think that is actually brighter than the Integra.

6:21The Integra ones are also pretty bright but I'm just actually not

6:40Yeah. So I would say yeah they're like the same intensity but

6:50because this is a huge reflector you can I can actually see it.

7:02All right. So we finished the trunk light patch everything up.

7:06This probably can take 10 minutes to do all three of them.

7:12Now we have LEDs for the reverse and turns. Just

7:16want to show it off before we wrap things up. Those are the turn signals and the reverse.

7:33Big difference when it comes the good thing about LED turn signals is

7:38they're instant. That means it's safer. It's brighter and because it's instant

7:43you just get that better hazard and more modern look. The same with the reverse.

7:49Again they're brighter, they're better and the color looks more modern and more expensive.

7:55So that concludes it. If you guys were interested in this product I'll leave a link down below.

8:04But yeah thank you guys for watching. I'll catch you guys in the next one. Peace out.
